Service Agreement

By booking services with Toasted by Jamie, LLC (“Toasted by Jamie,” “I,” or “me”), submitting an intake form, and paying for a package, you agree to the following terms.

1. Services and scope

Your package includes only the writing, editing, interview, revision, and coaching services listed in its description or in a written proposal. Any additional work, rush service, or major change in direction may require a separate fee and your approval.

2. Payment

Payment is due 100% upfront. Work begins only after full payment and the requested intake information have been received. Payment reserves time on my calendar for your project.

3. Cancellations and refunds

If you cancel before work begins, you may request a refund, less any nonrefundable payment-processing fees. Once the intake review, interview, writing, editing, or coaching work begins, payments are nonrefundable because time has been reserved and services are customized for you.

4. Revisions

Revisions are included only as described in your selected package or written proposal. Revision requests must stay within the original project scope and should be submitted promptly. A new direction, new stories, or requests made after final approval may be quoted as additional work.

5. Client responsibilities and timing

You agree to provide complete, accurate information and timely feedback. Delivery dates depend on receiving your payment, intake materials, interview availability, and feedback on time. Delays in your responses may move the delivery date.

6. Your stories and final approval

You confirm that you have the right to share the stories, names, photographs, or other materials you provide. You are responsible for reviewing names, dates, facts, pronunciation, and personal details before using the final piece. You have final approval over what you choose to say publicly.

7. Ownership and use

After full payment, you may use the final approved writing for your personal wedding or event. Drafts, questionnaires, templates, and working methods remain the property of Toasted by Jamie. I will not publicly share your private stories or writing as a sample without your permission.

8. Coaching and results

Coaching is intended to help you feel prepared and confident, but no particular audience reaction, performance result, or event outcome can be guaranteed.

9. Meetings and communication

Services are generally provided by Zoom, phone, and email. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice when rescheduling a meeting whenever possible. Repeated missed appointments may affect the project timeline.

10. Privacy

Your intake responses and personal details will be used to provide your services and communicate with you. They will not be sold. Information may be shared only with service providers needed to operate the business or when required by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Toasted by Jamie’s total liability related to your project will not exceed the amount you paid for the service giving rise to the claim.

12. Governing law and electronic acceptance

These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina. Checking the agreement box, submitting your intake, or paying your invoice constitutes electronic acceptance of this agreement.

These terms are a practical business agreement and are not a substitute for advice from a North Carolina attorney.
